Never Alone – Day Seven

It has been an absolute joy to walk with you through tackling loneliness. When we started this 7-day journey the goal was to come to recognize the permanence and sufficiency of God as we targeted loneliness as a hindrance to the fullness of joy promised in Scripture. I pray you have been challenged to examine your life and take action against the false dependencies that have cropped up in your life. In closing, I want to provide you with a few scriptures, some resources, and cover you in prayer as you continue a diligent walk with Christ.

    VERSES TO REMEMBER

Isaiah 58:11 “The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.”

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 “Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.”

Psalm 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

    RESOURCES

    Daily Grace Co:

Daily Grace Co is an excellent resource for all things Christian living. Without condemnation or judgment, their staff and writers convey the beauty of authentic pursuit of Christ. A post I want to highlight is Idol Factory by Kristi Powell. It asks some important questions about the longings and yearnings of our hearts. Read more…

    She Reads Truth:

This is another great resource. She Reads Truth has some great devotionals that cover a wide array of topics. Their resources help to make Bible reading and study a regular part of my day. They have free and paid reading plans available. One devotional I suggest is “Psalm of Rest”. Read more…

    Cornerstone Baptist Church – Sermons

My church home, Cornerstone Baptist Church, has doctrinally sound sermons available online through their website or via podcast. Last year they highlighted Heart Health. This 6 part series is a great listen. I want to make special mention of Part 2 which speaks to dependencies that we can value over God. Listen here…

    Today’s Prayer:

Lord, thank You for Your leading and guidance through Your Word as we have purposed it in our hearts to become dependent on You. Your loving-kindness far surpasses what we deserve, yet You cover us in grace and mercy. Lord, You truly use Your goodness to draw us to repentance and produce lasting change in our lives. Thank you for gentleness and for the conviction You have placed in our hearts. Help us to continue to seek after you and submit to Your transforming work. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.”
